Ann Early

Ann Early was born in Tennessee in 1938. One of eight children, Ann and her family moved to Detroit, Michigan when she was in grade school. In 1956, Ann and her husband, Judge, moved to New York to begin a family. During these years, Ann took on the roles of wife, mother and founder of Writers in Residence, a foundation determined to assist underprivileged youth pursuing their passion for the performing arts. Ann enabled the local youth to channel their talents and energy.

Ann continued her education by earning her Master’s Degree and a Ph.D. and went on to have a successful psychotherapy practice. In 2008, Ann was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease and by 2013, had passed away due to complications of the disease. Ann’s son, Quinn, was deeply affected by his mother’s passing and established the Ann Early Intervention Foundation in her honor.
